Laguna Gateway Inland Container Terminal (LGICT) recently met representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry’s Supply Chain and Logistics Group and the Asian Development Bank in support of ongoing efforts to improve logistics in the country.

 

Held on May 29, the meeting provided a venue to present LGICT’s services and explore ways to complement government initiatives to streamline supply chain operations.

 

Carmela Rodriguez, LGICT general manager, expressed support for DTI’s plan to establish a nationwide Supply Chain and Logistics Center Network. The network will expand access to logistics infrastructure and improve distribution efficiency across regions.

 

The meeting included Mary Jean Pacheco, DTI Undersecretary, Rene Wernli, ICTSI vice president for Global Multimodal Logistics Solutions, and Mikkel Puyat, ICTSI Commercial director for the Philippines cluster, along with the LGICT management team.

 

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration among public and private stakeholders to deliver more coordinated logistics solutions and support industry growth.
